Paralegal is one of the fastest growing occupations in the nation. Paralegals work as members of legal teams in law firms, business, government, and social service organizations. Your responsibilities may include interviewing clients and witnesses, researching the law, preparing briefs, and attending court hearings.

The college's American Bar Association-approved program offers classes that include intellectual property, litigation, and criminal law. If you enjoy problem-solving and research and have an interest in law, you have the beginning of a fine paralegal career.

Job outlook 27 percent or higher through 201 6 — Occupational Quarterly Handbook

Careers range from working in law firms to jobs with government, private business or social service agencies. Paralegals may not practice law or give legal advice. They work under an attorney's supervision.

Our program was planned and developed with the cooperation of the Washington State Bar Association to meet standards set by the American Bar Association.

Classes Offered Day, Evening and Online

The curriculum is designed to prepare you to enter the legal field for the first time or to enhance your professional skills for a new career.

You can begin a program in the summer, fall, winter or spring — approximately 20 legal courses are offered each quarter.
