Expanding Your Horizons Conference at Edmonds College

Virtual Conference: May 15, 2020

EYH logoExpanding Your Horizons (EYH) is a national conference that encourages girls, grades 8-12, to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Edmonds College partners with the Edmonds and Mukilteo school districts and the American Association of University Women to host EYH.


The 2020 virtual conference is free check out the six steps below to attend!

The conference is pre recorded for your convince as we know many students are still attending classes online and balancing home and school life, there is no live session today please view the videos when you can. The Q&A session in early June will be live via zoom

Expanding Your Horizons will:student conducting an experiment

  • increase young women's interest in science, technology, engineering, and math;
  • foster awareness of career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math; and
  • provide opportunities for young women to meet and interact with role models active in science, technology, engineering, and math fields.

About the 2019 EYH Conference Workshops and Presenters

  • 25+ unique workshops were offered featuring successful women from a variety of STEM careers.
  • You can see the full list of 2019 workshops by clicking the link on the right side of the page.
  • 95% of the participant responses indicated they enjoyed the workshops attended, especially because most were hands on.

About the Participants

  • Over 425 participants registered.
  • 98% of the participants indicated that they would attend the 2020 conference.
  • 80% said that as a direct response to the workshops they attended, they were now considering new career options.
