Guide to Emergency Preparedness


This guide provides information regarding what to do during an emergency such as a fire, natural disaster, bomb threat, or medical emergency.

Reporting an Emergency

What To Do

  1. Call 911.
  2. Say “This is an emergency” and give the following information:
    • Your location,
    • The type of emergency,
    • Your name, and
    • The phone number you are calling from.
  3. Stay on the phone until told to hang up.
  4. Alert anyone in immediate danger.
  5. Notify Campus Safety and Security at 425.754.0154 or use one of the campus emergency phones (call boxes) located around campus.
  6. Watch for the arrival of emergency responders and direct them to the appropriate location.

Report all injuries to Campus Safety and Security and fill out an Accident, Illness and Injury Report.
