Returning to Campus

Employees who are scheduled for regular, on-campus work (such as faculty teaching on-campus classes and security, custodial, and facilities staff) should follow the two steps below.

Employees visiting campus for any reason other than their currently scheduled, on-campus work must follow these these instructions.

Students, contractors, and visitors to the Center for Families should follow the two steps below.

UPDATE: Mandatory facial coverings or face masks starting June 26.

Due to a new statewide mandate by Gov. Jay Inslee, all Edmonds College employees, students, and any visitors are legally required to wear a cloth facial covering or face mask in an indoor public space, or in an outside public space when unable to physically distance from others. The only exception is when you are working alone in an office, vehicle, or at a job site.

There are specific exemptions to the governor's order for those who may be adversely impacted by wearing a facial covering. These exemptions include those with certain medical conditions and children under the age of two, who should not wear a face covering.

Please plan to bring and wear your cloth facial covering or face mask when you come to campus. If you do not have one, the college will provide each employee with two cloth reusable face masks. The college will also provide each student one cloth reusable face mask should they need one. Through this form, supervisors can request masks for their employees and instructors can request masks for their students.

Helpful Resources

The state of Washington has provided guidance on cloth facial coverings and face masks. There are also resources from the Washington State Department of Health on how to wear a cloth facial covering or face mask. Lastly, the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries has provided guidance on how to create your own face mask.
