Membership

There are four different RiSE membership options:

Membership Level Eligibility Benefits

Member

  • Current Edmonds College student
  • Degree/track in STEM discipline
  • Belong to Google Group and other e-mail lists
  • Priority registration for field trips and workshops

Scholar
(Member plus...)

  • Actively participate in 2 workshops, events, or field trips per quarter
  • Complete quarterly Academic Progress Report and goals
  • Assigned STEM faculty or staff mentor
  • Mentor review of quarterly Academic Progress Report and goals at quarterly RiSE Mentor Socials

Leader
(Scholar plus...)

  • Volunteer 10 hrs/month on RiSE-related business
  • Opportunities to help plan and lead field trips, workshops, and events
  • Opportunities to do outreach at local high schools, colleges, etc.

Alumni

  • Edmonds College STEM/RiSE graduate or former student who wishes to remain involved
  • Same benefits as Member and Leader
  • Near peer mentor with faculty/staff

Upon joining RiSE, students will discuss membership options during their one-on-one orientation with the RiSE Director. For questions regarding RiSE membership options, email rise@edcc.edu.
