The Visual Arts support student interest in forming clubs through CSEL based on interests. For more information about forming a club or status of Visual Arts clubs contact Audineh Asaf or Minh Carrico, co-department heads. Visual Art sponsored student club's mission is to inspire, promote, and enhance an appreciation of art among students and faculty/staff of Edmonds College, as well as members of the community.
In the past club members have participate in a number of art-centered activities, including open studio sessions (where members use art supplies purchased by club funds); visits to local artists' studios; field trips to area museums and galleries; painting murals for sites on campus; collaborative painting with (and sending supplies to) artist friends in Cameroon; working with the Art Docents program at the Center for Families; and printing club T-shirts and making creative items for fund-raising events.
There are no membership dues for CSEL funded club members nor do you don't have to be an art student or even have an art background. Clubs are open to anyone interested in participating in art-centered activities!
