Torrey Kaminski is a sought after flute instructor and performer in the Greater Seattle area. She serves on the Faculty at Edmonds Community College and Music Works Northwest, maintains a thriving private teaching studio, and is in demand as a flute coach in the Edmonds and Shoreline School Districts. Ms. Kaminski has been invited to continually adjudicate the WMEA Regional Solo and Ensemble Competitions since 2010, and was one of three judges at the 2011 WMEA State Solo and Ensemble Competition.
Ms. Kaminski has performed as a soloist with the Bay View Music Festival Orchestra in Michigan and the University of Washington Wind Ensemble, and was one of four finalists in the 2013 Washington Idaho Symphony Competition. She has also been a featured guest artist with the Seattle Marimba Quartet and at the Affetti Chamber Music Festival in Anchorage, AK.
Ms. Kaminski was the President of the Seattle Flute Society from 2010-2014 and has served on the SFS Board of Directors since 2007. She earned her Master of Music degree and Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Washington. Her principal teachers include Donna Shin, Karla Flygare, and Felix Skowronek.
