Edmonds Community College offers one of the oldest and most well known horticulture programs in Western Washington. For over 50 years, the Horticulture Department has been providing top quality graduates to the landscape and nursery industry.
The goal of the Edmonds CC Horticulture program is to fully prepare you for a successful and satisfying career as a qualified horticulturist.
The curriculum is structured around two areas of study - landscape horticulture and plant production. All students receive training in the basic horticultural sciences that form the foundation of this field, such as botany, plant identification and soil sciences. The landscape horticulture area contains landscape management, landscape design and restoration horticulture programs. The plant production area is comprised of nursery and greenhouse production as well as fruit, nut and vegetable production and care.
The Edmonds CC Horticulture program offers a range of degrees and certificates.
Two-year ATA Degrees
- Landscape Design Specialization
- Sustainable Landscape Management
- Ornamental Horticulture Nursery/Greenhouse Management
Both degrees and certificates may be started at any quarter of the regular academic year and students may enroll in one or more of the classes.
