Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies is the interdisciplinary study of gender and how class, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, age, and ability shape the female and male experience. Students learn how female and male social roles affect personal lives, artistic expression, work, social relationships, institutional structures, the production of knowledge, and national and international political and economic relations.

Courses that lead to an AA/AAS transfer degree

Bellevue Community College and Edmonds Community College offer the courses online that lead to an AA/AAS transfer degree and fulfill the lower-division requirements for the BA in Women’s Studies degree.

The additional WSU College of Liberal Arts requirements in Science, Humanities and Foreign Language can be fulfilled at the community college level by careful selection of electives. Contact an advisor for details.

WSU offers the upper-division courses needed to complete the WSU BA in Humanities degree at a distance.
