| The ArtsNow/uLearn Faculty Exhibit is hanging at the Edmonds Conference Center. Come view the work and talk to some of our instructors about their classes during the Edmonds’ Third Thursday Art Walk 5-8 p.m., Nov. 19 at the Edmonds Conference Center, 201 4th Ave N., Edmonds. Enjoy live music by the Sherwood Elementary Marimba Band and treats by Celebrations Catering. The ArtsNow gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays.
The Sherwood Elementary Marimba Band is a highly energetic, African style marimba band made up of 5th and 6th grade students from Sherwood Elementary. They are directed by Phil Onishi, who has taught music at the school since 1998. Their marimbas are handcrafted by local marimba maker, Tom Bourne of Bourne Marimbas, Bothell.
