Tuition and Fees

Edmonds College strives to be supportive and inclusive of everyone within our college community, and that includes creating affordable educational opportunities for everyone. For this reason our tuition and fees are set based on the number of credits you enroll in so you're only paying for the course you take.

Our students are invested in educational, vocational, and personal success and Edmonds takes pride in helping all our students achieve success, no matter how you define it. International students, first-generation students, adult learners, degree-seeking students, career-changers — whatever your reasons for coming to Edmonds, you don’t have to fit a mold to take advantage of everything we offer. You belong at Edmonds.

Fees Included Within Tuition Rate

Tuition in the state of Washington consists of three fees.

  • Operating Fees – The operating fee is used locally for college operations: Instruction, Services, Facility Maintenance, etc. In addition, 3.5% of these funds go into an institutional Financial Aid account.

  • Building Fees – The building fee is deposited into a statewide Building Fee account and is used to pay and secure the payment of the principal of and interest on bonds payable out of the building fees and for the construction, reconstruction, erection, equipping, maintenance, demolition and major alteration of buildings and other capital assets owned by the state board for community and technical colleges.

  • Student Activities Fees (S&A Fees) – The student activities fee is allocated by a student committee to pay for programs and services designed to support student success outside the classroom

These fees are mandatory for all students. Edmonds College reserves the right to change tuition rates and fees without notice to comply with state or college regulations or policies.

Note for Online Learning students:

Edmonds College provides tuition waivers for out-of-state distance learners. If you live outside the state of Washington, and are taking state-supported eLearning classes, the college will waive the nonresident portion of the operating fee. Notice: Please read the important info regarding Distance Learning Restrictions. This waiver also does not apply to international students or students who are not permanent U.S. residents. Following registration, contact the Enrollment Services office at registration@edmonds.edu to request the waiver. The actual tuition amount will be determined at that time.
