If you are a new examinee testing for the first time, you MUST arrive 30 minutes before the times listed above. If you have already taken a test, you MUST arrive 15 minutes before the times listed above. You will only be able to take one test per session, so if you wish to take more than one test on any day, you need to sign up for each testing session. Testing begins at the times listed above. Space is limited to 14 examinees per session. You must arrive on time, or you will not be admitted. GED tests are offered on a walk-in (first-come, first-served) basis.
(There is no GED testing on Mondays, Fridays or on National Holidays.)

Eligibility Requirements for GED Testing:
An examinee must not have graduated from an accredited high school or received a high school equivalency certificate or diploma.
An examinee must not be enrolled in a regular high school.
An examinee must be at least 16 years of age. If you are under the age of 19, you must provide us with a release form from high school (or a notarized form we provide if you have been home schooled) in order to take the GED tests. If you do not have the required form with you, we cannot test you until you do.
An examinee must present a current picture I.D. that verifies name, signature and birth date. (NO PICTURE ID, NO TESTING ALLOWED!)
An examinee must be a Washington resident or must have a Washington mailing address.
All materials needed for testing will be provided. Personal items need to be left at home or placed in our storage cubbies before testing. Personal items include backpacks, hats, coats, jackets, sweaters, cell phones, pagers, CD players, iPods, cameras and other electronic equipment. Use of any electronic device is strictly prohibited! Once testing has begun, no one will be admitted!
Test Scores: Except for writing, all other test scores will be available IN 24 HOURS! The writing test can take up to two weeks to be processed.
Test Fees: $75.00 for complete test; $15.00/retest
Test Time Limits:
Writing 2 hours
Social Studies 1 hour 10 minutes
Science 1 hour 20 minutes
Reading 1 hour 5 minutes
Math 1 hour 30 minutes
To earn your GED Certificate, you must pass a test with a minimum standard score of 410 AND a total score of 2,250 for a battery average of 450.
Please be aware that you will not be able to take all five GED tests in one day. Once you have completed your tests and earned your GED Certificate, you will first receive your Official Transcript of GED Test Results. You can use this document as proof that you have earned your GED Certificate. Two weeks later, you will receive your actual GED Certificate in the mail.
