Closing the Loop on Our Waste Stream
Thursday, February 4th
Snohomish Hall 304A
12:30PM - 2:00PM
Join the Sustainability Council for a workshop/presentation exploring our waste stream at the college and in the region as well as opportunities for improvements. We’ll begin with a presentation from Snohomish County Public Works Planner, Sego Jackson, who will talk about consumerism, the products we use, and our responsibility & producer responsibility towards managing waste. Steve Fisher of the City of Lynnwood will talk about the city’s efforts. We’ll talk about what we are doing at the college, and brainstorm what might be possible in the future.
Our goal is to raise awareness of our waste stream and the importance of keeping waste out of the landfill, share information about what we’re doing at the college, and envision the future together. Bring your ideas!
Sponsored by the Sustainability Council as the third in a series of quarterly workshops: Affirming and Envisioning Sustainable Practices at Edmonds Community College. For more information on the workshop series, see Workshops.
