Successful students are involved in their education both in and out of the classroom. Research has shown that involved students have a better chance of reaching their academic and personal goals. At Edmonds Community College, there are a variety of ways that students can be involved. Supported by the Services and Activities (S&A) fee collected from every student's tuition, The Office of Student Life and Development provides events, trips, lectures, intramural, concerts, clubs, multicultural programs, leadership opportunities and more.
The Associated Students of Edmonds Community College (ASEdCC) funds over 60 programs and services across campus. A list of these are found in the Student Handbook. Student Life and Development staff encourage students to have a voice in how their S&A fees are spent. Currently, ASEdCC funding supports child care, performing arts, clubs, lectures, trips, athletics, Brown Bag Lectures, services for students with disabilities, the information center and many other programs and services.
Student Life and Development includes: housing service for homestay and apartment listings, student government, student programs, child care, athletics, high school outreach, the Equity and Diversity Center and Triton Union operations.
