Coordinated Studies Courses
In addition to the listed courses, the Department of Sociology regularly offers Coordinated Studies Programs, which combine one of our courses with a class in another field. Sociology of the Environment, for example, has been taught with English 105 as a 10-credit course in which students write about environmental issues. Another combination is Introduction to Sociology with a Human Disease course in Biology to explore biological as well as social issues of disease.
