Campus Safety and Security
Campus Alert Status
Friday, September 9, 2011 -
As we approach the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 I want to share the importance of remaining vigilant and alerting authorities if you see something out of the ordinary. If you see something suspicious around the campus, please call 911 and alert campus security.
Many of the recent failed attacks were thwarted not by advanced intelligence but by inexperience attackers and ordinary people alerting authorities when things ‘just didn’t feel right’. Most recently this is evidenced by a plot near Ft Hood TX. You can click on the link below to read the specifics but what lead to the arrest was the suspect asking the wrong type of questions at an ammunitions store.
