Clery Act – Crime Statistics

Safety on the Edmonds Community College campus is a concern for students, parents and college employees. Education — the business of the College — can only take place in an environment in which each student and staff member feels safe. The College administration recognizes this and has made security a top priority.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, the college reports the mandated information about current campus policies concerning safety and security issues and the required crime statistics. You can view:

Timely Warning – Stolen Vehicles

NOTICE – You are receiving this notice of criminal activity as part of the Federal Clery Act for campus crimes.

Through awareness, we are working to keep our campus safe.

Edmonds Community College has received three reports of stolen vehicles on campus between October 11 and 24. The vehicles in question were late 90s model vehicles which were taken from employee and student parking lots.

Lynnwood Police Department is involved in all three investigations and continues to search for suspects.

In the first incident, the suspect was captured on video. He is a Caucasian male with close cut hair that is slightly balding on top. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt or sweater and white and blue nylon athletic shorts.

The other thefts were not captured on video.

Additionally we had several reports during this same time period of bicycle thefts on campus. Find information on how to keep your bicycle or automobile safe.

When a situation may constitute an ongoing threat to our campus community, we will notify you. Edmonds Community College urges anyone who is a victim of any crime to call 911 immediately AND make a report to Campus Security.
