Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy

You are responsible for knowing your grades every quarter and making sure you meet the following policy. You will be required to sign that you are in agreement with this policy (at your first advising session) in order to participate in Running Start. As a Running Start Student, YOU MUST:

  1. Get Good Grades:
    • Complete each quarter with a minimum 2.00 grade point average for attempted credits paid for by Running Start.
    • Grade point average is determined by college credits and does not include high school enrollment.
  2. Finish What You Start:
    • Complete all credits you are enrolled in after the 10th day of the quarter.
    • Non-completion of classes means you received "I," "N," "W," "V," or "U" grades.

You must meet the above standards EACH QUARTER you participate in the program. Failure to meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy standards EACH QUARTER will result in disciplinary action as follows:

  1. You earn less than a 2.00 grade point average for one quarter OR
  2. You fail to complete all credits you are enrolled in after the 10th day of the quarter. This includes all classes in which you receive "I," "N," "W," "V," or "U" grades.

  • You earn less than a 2.00 grade point average for the probationary quarter OR
  • You fail to complete all credits you are enrolled in after the 10th day of the probationary quarter.
