Join us! http://www.edcc.edu/news/news.php?newsID=1550 The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) has established an Edmonds Community College Foundation scholarship to support students studying in fields related to the aerospace industry. http://www.edcc.edu/news/news.php?newsID=1551 A scholarship has been created in memory of lifelong educator Mary Pat Dennis-Andre who taught at Edmonds Community College for 18 years and who died of cancer on October 20, 2009 at the age of 57. Joe Andre made a donation to the Edmonds Community College Foundation to create an endowed scholarship in his wifes name. The monies will be invested to create a permanent fund, and the scholarships will be awarded annually so long as funds are available. http://www.edcc.edu/news/news.php?newsID=1552 Jack Oharah, who has led Edmonds Community College for nearly 15 years, announced his retirement today. The college will begin its search for a new president in April. Oharah is expected to stay on board through the end of 2010. The college will conduct a nationwide search for a new president this spring. Chris Gregoire as the newest member of the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. http://www.edcc.edu/news/news.php?newsID=1547 Math instructor Deanne Leoni and Director of Grants Rebecca Hartzler co-authored "Math Across the Community College Curriculum: A Successful Path to Quantitative Literacy," and "Recipe for Faculty Development" in the February issue, Vol. 1, No. 2 of MathAMATYC Educator, The Journal of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges.
