Students completing photography courses should be able to:
- Identify and use an analog and/or digital camera controls including aperture,
shutter speed, film speed, depth of field, film loading
- Apply color theory to digital imaging applications
- Demonstrate strong composition through the application of the rule of thirds
- Demonstrate an artistic and photographic vocabulary when writing or talking about photography
- Apply journalism techniques to communicate a story with photographic images
- Demonstrate the ability to give and receive constructive criticism of photographs
- Learn about current and past photographers and the genre of their work
- Apply knowledge of the commercial applications of photography
