PARTNERS brings together representatives of government, business, education, and cultural organizations along with independent artists and other interested individuals. PARTNERS exists to build bridges and partnerships between each other and between a wide range of community, public, and private-sector interests. Specifically, PARTNERS strives to:

• Use communication, coordination, cooperation, and collaboration to promote existing programs and to encourage development of new offerings and opportunities in the arts, culture and civic engagement
• Ensure that an inclusive range of programs is offered that appeals to widely varying tastes and interests, and that embraces diverse forms of expression and a full spectrum of viewpoints
• Increase citizen attendance and creative participation in a broad range of activities for the purpose of personal enrichment as well as for creating a deepened sense of our shared experience, common purpose and diverse heritages
• Set our sights high for the purpose of creating together what none of us could create separately.
• Seek and attract funding and other resources, such as leadership and facilities, for developing and supporting these offerings.
