Edmonds CC to host two candidate forums Oct. 11 and Oct. 18

Candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives races in the 1st, 2nd, and 7th congressional districts will appear at a question-and-answer forum at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Edmonds Community College. Candidates for the Washington State House of Representatives races in the 21st and 32nd legislative districts also will appear at a question-and-answer forum at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Both events will be in the college’s Black Box Theatre in Mukilteo Hall, 20310 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood.

Free and open to the public, the events are sponsored by Edmonds CC in partnership with Sno-Isle Libraries, The Daily Herald, the NAACP, the League of Women Voters of Snohomish County, the American Association of University Women, and Snohomish County Elections and Voter Registration.

The forums will be moderated by The Daily Herald publisher Josh O'Connor and editorial page editor Jon Bauer.

Each candidate, after giving a brief introduction, will have an opportunity to address issues that affect Washington state on a local, state, or national level.

The general election is Nov. 8.
