Washington State Poet Laureate, Kathleen Flenniken, presents her poetry collection, "Plume." Along with poems, the author will share some historic photos and talk about the role of poetry and the arts in addressing environmental and social justice issues.

Running-Grass, a widely published and nationally recognized expert in multicultural environmental education and environmental justice, will explore the intersections of environmental sustainability, cultural diversity and the roots of social justice movements.

"Bobby Norfolk presents Shadowball: A History of the Negro Baseball League"- 12:30 p.m., Wed., May 16, Black Box Theatre

Three-time Emmy Award winner and internationally known story performer, Bobby Norfolk, presents a living history performance through the heyday of the Negro Baseball Leagues. Historical slides and period music enhance this emotional performance, illustrating the clash of race, sports and culture.
