02/13/2013
Edmonds Community College invites students, parents, and teachers from the community
to spring into science at STEM Saturday, 1-3 p.m., Feb. 23 in the Brier Hall lobby
on campus, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. STEM Saturday is free and open to the public.
The annual event’s goal is to engage community members in hands-on activities to explore science, technology, engineering, and math. There will be hands-on activities for kids of all ages – including a pollination station and an eggdrop engineering contest.
There will also be opportunities to learn about resources from STEM instructors and time to connect with Edmonds CC STEM students. Refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle with prizes.
STEM Saturday is sponsored by Edmonds CC and campus programs: RISE (Relationships in Science Education | www.edcc.edu/RISE), MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Achievement | www.edcc.edu/MESA), and the Center for Service-Learning (www.edcc.edu/servicelearning).
RSVPs are requested at rise@edcc.edu.
