Edmonds Community College has hired Carol Summers as its Vice President of College Relations and Advancement.
At Edmonds CC, she is responsible for advocacy and outreach for the college to add to its resource base and for strategic marketing to increase the visibility of college services and programs.
Summers earned her master's in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University and bachelor's in Political Science from Washington State University. She holds a certificate in Internet Marketing from the University of Washington. She is a member of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
The previous Vice President of College Relations, John Michaelson, retired after 35 years experience in higher education as a counselor, instructor, basketball coach, and administrator at colleges in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
Established in 1967, accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, and governed by the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges, Edmonds Community College is a leader in providing quality opportunities for learning and service, responding to the dynamic needs of our diverse community.
