IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!
Effective immediately the admission requirements to the satellite PN program have changed:
The HOBET is no longer accepted for admission to the program.
The new admission test is the TEAS V (5.0).
Please go to http://testing.edcc.edu/_teas.php for information on this admission test.
The required Lifespan Psychology class is PSYCH&200.
SHS 185 (Human Growth and Development) is no longer accepted.

This Lake Washington Technical College program with satellite classes at Edmonds CC prepares students for employment as Practical Nurses in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, home healthcare agencies, schools and ambulatory care facilities. This program is approved by the Washington State Nursing Commission and graduates of this program are eligible to become Licensed Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).

- This part time program is designed for students either currently employed in health care or who are seeking careers in nursing.
- Students must be enrolled at both colleges and will be taking classes in the quarters listed through both colleges over the course of the certificate.
- Program completion is through Lake Washington Technical College (LWTC) and graduation will be through Lake Washington Technical College.
- Coursework will be a combination of online classes, on campus skills labs and clinical experience in a variety of facilities.
- Students are required to meet regularly with their adviser to ensure proper progression through the program.
