Oxford Online
Premium online reference collection containing over 100 dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press as well as a broad range of titles in the Oxford Companions Series of subject encyclopedias.

ArtStor
The ARTstor Digital Library Charter Collection is:
A repository of hundreds of thousands of digital images and related data; the tools to actively use those images; and a restricted usage environment that seeks to balance the rights of content providers with the needs and interests of content users.

Contemporary Literary Criticism Select
Contains critical essays on contemporary authors, including biographical/critical introductions, listings of principal works and bibliographies.

Since its beginnings in 1974, the aim of CultureGrams has been to foster understanding and appreciation of the world's countries and peoples by creating and publishing excellent content. The Chronicle of Higher Education Provides the "complete contents of the latest issue; daily news and advice columns; current job listings; articles published since September 1989" and more for college and university faculty members and administrators

eLibrary Comprehensive, general reference collection of full-text magazines, newspapers, reference books and TV, radio and government transcripts, maps and audio/video resources. Its collection covers reading levels through college and can be searched by keyword, topic, subject, publication or natural language question.

Health Reference Center - Academic Provides comprehensive collection of health-research related information from medical and professional journals, general health magazines and reference sources.

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center Provides access to viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles. Opposing Viewpoints draws on the acclaimed social issues series published by Greenhaven Press, as well as core reference content from other Gale and Macmillan Reference USA sources to provide a complete one-stop source for information on social issues.

PubMed A service of the National Library of Medicine that includes over 15 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources.

ProQuest Contains full-text of articles from over 1,600 magazines and journals and indexing for an additional 860 titles, including 16 Washington State newspapers, and the New York Times. ProQuest is provided jointly by the Washington State Library and the Edmonds CC Library, and is funded in part with LSTA funds.

Alt-PressWatch
Full text database of the newspapers, magazines and journals from alternative and independent presses. This interdisciplinary resource provides a valuable source of viewpoints and perspectives to complement and challenge mainstream media coverage.
Ethnic NewsWatch
Contains full-text articles from newspapers, magazines and journals from the US ethnic, minority and native press. Available in English or Spanish. (Ethnic NewsWatch is now part of the ProQuest collection of databases.)
ProQuest Reference
Search a full-text collection of reference books including The Ethnic Cultures of America, Occupational Outlook Handbook, and the World Factbook.
ProQuest Newspapers (Current)
Coverage of 5 major newspapers, including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and the Christian Science Monitor.
New York Times Historical Newspaper
The New York Times (1851-2001) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue.
Washington State Newsstand
Provides full-text coverage of major Washington newspapers including the daily newspapers from Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane and Vancouver, plus selected coverage of other regional sources.

Hoover's Online This commercial site provides access to the latest company, business and marketing information. Includes company profiles and financials as well as IPO, market and industry news.

SkillSoft Online is an online learning web site sponsored by The Organizational Development and Employee Training (ODET) Department that offers 3,000 business and IT courses available for FREE to all Edmonds CC employees and students. How to Find Scholarship Information on the Internet
Because we all have characteristics that make us unique (age, gender, ethnicity, education level, employment, etc.) finding scholarship opportunities that best meet each of our individual needs can be difficult.
This PowerPoint presentation, created by the Edmonds CC Library faculty, shows how to find the most useful online scholarship information and resources for you.
We have also created a Scholarship Research Guide in Microsoft Word to provide you with a list of the many resources available to help you with your search.



LEGAL RESOURCES


Westlaw Campus Provides access to a broad array of legal resources including, decisions from all federal and state courts since 1789, all federal and state statutes, 41 state administrative codes, articles on court decisions and statutes from American Law Reports, over 600 law reviews and journals, and the American Jurisprudence legal encyclopedia.

1. Go to the Edmonds CC Library website
