Summer 2017 Study Abroad in Italy

Study Cultural Anthropology in Italy. 

Edmonds CC's VIVA ITALIA program runs from August 28 to September 15, between summer and fall quarters.  Explore the diversity of Italian culture in Rome, Florence, and the Tuscan countryside.  

Admission Eligibility

To take part in this program you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have taken at least 12 credits at Edmonds CC
  • Have at least a 2.5 Cumulative GPA
  • Will be 18 years of age or older once the program begins

Application Requirements

To complete your application for this program please turn in the following materials to the Study Abroad Office, attn. Jesse Aspree, International Student Services.

  • Application for Study Abroad in Italy
  • A one-page personal essay explaining: why you would like to be a part of the exchange program and how you will relate your experience to your goals or career path
  • One letter of recommendation (from an Edmonds CC faculty member) that supports your desire to be a study abroad student
  • your most recent unofficial transcript that states you have at least a 2.5 GPA, and have taken at least 12 credits through Edmonds CC

 Upon acceptance into Viva Italia program and receipt of the $200 deposit, students will receive an entrance code from Gem Baldwin to register for Cultural Anthropology (ANTH 206), as well as an optional Independent Research Project, if you have chose this option. All participants must register for Edmonds CC course credit. There is a $2,420 program fee for the Viva Italia program. This includes some meals and intracountry travel; this does not include round trip travel to Italy or 5 cr. of tuition.

Application for Study Abroad

To apply please complete the linked application and required documents and return materials to the Study Abroad Office, attn. Jesse Aspree, International Student Services. The deadline for application completion is April 7. A deposit of $200 to be paid upon acceptance.
