Level 2 Reading teaches high-beginning/low-intermediatereading comprehension skills and English vocabulary.

In Level 2 reading, you will

• read stories and passages and answer questions.
• learn basic reading skills, such as guessing words from context, skimming and scanning for information, and finding the main idea.
• read ESL books from the library.
• build on your English vocabulary, focusing on the 600 – 1,000 most frequently used words in English.
