HEAD COACH AND ASSISTANT COACH – MEN'S SOCCER
Edmonds Community College is currently accepting applications for a Head Coach and Assistant Coach for Men’s Soccer for our intercollegiate athletic program. This part-time faculty position reports to the Director of Athletics.
Responsibilities will include:
· Recruiting talented and academically eligible athletes in a professional manner.
· Maintaining a strong commitment to following NWAACC and NCAA coaching guidelines and expectations.
· Having a commitment to academic success while being a positive mentor for student athletes.
· Supervising and assisting other coaching staff.
· Teaching fundamentals, skills and conditioning for intercollegiate athletics, and willingness to teach academic classes, sports camps and/or activities for additional compensation.
· Coordinating seasonal schedules with the Athletic Director.
· Working with the department staff to proactively plan travel arrangements, budget and equipment purchases.
· Assisting with departmental fundraising efforts.
· Performing other responsibilities associated with intercollegiate athletics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· B.S. or B.A. from an accredited institution.
· Current driver’s license.
· Ability to obtain within the first 30 days a current CPR and First Aid Certification.
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Past experience coaching at the college level preferred but not required.
· Ability to supervise and assist other coaching staff.
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically performed on the playing field/indoor facility. Duties require standing/walking for long periods of time, the ability to demonstrate techniques associated with the sport, and lifting materials in excess of 25 pounds. The ability to communicate clearly is essential. Personal transportation is needed to travel to meetings and for scouting talent. This position also requires driving a college van to games.
COMPENSATION: $4,250 coaching stipend for Head Coach. Assistant stipend also available. There is also income potential from PE classes and/or other college opportunities. Compensation is in accordance with the Negotiated Agreement between the Washington Community College District and Edmonds Community College Federation of Teachers.
