Dr. Amit B. Singh

Dr. Amit B. Singh was named as the fifth President of Edmonds Community College in June 2018.

He most recently served as the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs at Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio, serving in that capacity since March 2014. Prior to joining Clark State, Dr. Singh was the Dean of Academic Affairs/Chief Academic Officer at the largest campus of Cuyahoga Community College in Parma, Ohio.  

He also served as the Dean of the Business and Computer Science division at Montgomery County Community College in Pennsylvania. He previously served as the Assistant Dean of the Business and Social Science division and as a Professor of Business, Economics, and Finance at Darton College, a two-year college in Albany, Ga. (now merged with Albany State University).  Dr. Singh has also taught as an adjunct faculty at Kennesaw State University, Albany State University, and Georgia Southwestern State University in Georgia.

Prior to joining academia, Dr. Singh worked as an Investment Analyst at a brokerage firm and as a Senior Financial Analyst at a corporate governance consulting firm in Atlanta, Ga. His experience also includes working for a startup company as the Chief Executive Officer.

His leadership training includes attending Future Leaders Institute and Future Presidents Institute offered by the American Association of Community Colleges. He is also a graduate of Management Development Program from Harvard Graduate School of Education and was a member of the ASPEN Presidential Fellowship, 2017-18 cohort.

Dr. Singh holds four graduate degrees – a Doctorate in Economics, a Master’s in Finance, a Master’s of Business Administration, and a Master’s in Economics.
