Scholarships for Students
The Edmonds Community College Foundation provides funding for student scholarships.
More than 45 percent of the students at Edmonds Community College need financial assistance to attend. Some must work while attending school to support their family. Others are laid off employees trying to update their job skills. And many are recent high school graduates who are eager to continue their education.
Each year, the Foundation awards more than 150 scholarships to help these student succeed.

Annual Awards
All Edmonds Community College students who have a 2.5 GPA and above are eligible to apply. The Foundation awards scholarships to Edmonds Community College students one time per year for tuition, books and fees for the next school year. Typical awards range from $500-$2,500.
The application typically opens in winter quarter and is due during spring quarter.
Complete the Dream
The Foundation also funds a scholarship for students who are in their last quarter and need financial assistance to graduate or complete their program/certificate. This scholarship was established to help students who have suffered a recent (typically within the last three months) financial hardship that makes it impossible for them to graduate.
GED Excellence Tuition Scholarship
Since 1992, Edmonds Community College Foundation has provided funds to award one GED Excellence Tuition Scholarship each quarter. The individual who earns the highest total score for the quarter receives the GED Excellence Tuition Scholarship to cover their testing fees.
GED examinees come from all walks of life and represent a diverse population. They range in age from 16 to 62. For the majority of the GED Excellence Tuition Scholarship recipients, this award gives them the beginning to achieving their academic goals in the higher education arena.
