Student Financial Services
Steps of the financial aid process:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Apply for admission to Edmonds Community College.
- Complete the online Financial Aid Information Session (Do this early; it is required of all new Edmonds Community College financial aid students).
- Once our office receives your FAFSA information, you will receive a letter indicating if any other documents are needed to complete your file. Submit these documents to our office as soon as possible. The earlier you complete your file, the more likely you are to receive all the aid you are eligible for.
- If you would like to apply for a Stafford Loan, you will need to complete a separate loan request form and promissory note. Also…
- Complete the Online Loan Counseling session required of all first time Edmonds Community College borrowers.
- Borrowers picking up their last check of the year must complete the Online Exit Counseling session.
- Once you have been awarded financial aid, you will receive an award letter in the mail. If you plan to take less than 12 credits, you must notify the Student Financial Services Office using a Change Form each quarter after you register for classes.
- You are required to maintain a minimum number of credits each quarter and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
All of our forms are available online. Click on “forms” on the left hand side of this page.
