Student Financial Services
All financial aid applicants are assigned a standard budget approved by the Higher Education Coordinating Board. Subtracted from this budget are the financial resources the student and/or family are expected to contribute toward educational expenses. These resources are calculated from the information submitted on the financial aid application forms.
Award offers attempt to meet financial need with 45% "gift" aid (grants, waivers, scholarships), and 55% "self-help" aid (workstudy and loans). Students with low need ($4000 or less) are not likely to be eligible for the Pell Grant or State Need Grant, and will not be considered for institutional aid. However, students with low need may still be eligible for employment or loans.
