Ability to Benefit

Students who do not have a high school diploma or GED may qualify for aid by passing the Accuplacer Assessment Test (the LOEP Assessment does not qualify) with the following scores:

55 in reading comprehension
60 in sentence skills
34 in arithmetic

A form and instructions are available for students wishing to receive aid under the “ability-to-benefit” program by clicking on “forms” to the left.

Please note: High School Completion, Running Start and EdCAP students are not eligible to receive financial aid under “Ability-to-Benefit” as long as they are enrolled in these programs. Financial aid is awarded to students who are in an approved college degree program. High school and high school completion programs do not meet this criteria.
