A person with a Building Operations & Maintenance short certificate from Edmonds Commuinty College can earn the nationally recognized BOC, Building Operator's Certification, Level I, after also finishing one year of related work experience in the field of commercial building operation and maintenance.
BOC is a national workforce training and credential program offering job skills in energy efficient building operation and maintenance practices. Certification is competency-based and offered on two levels. Level I emphasizes energy-efficient building maintenance practices.
