What is EdCap?

EdCAP provides young adults (16-21) with an opportunity to earn a high school diploma in a college environment. Students have the option to explore classes that will give them a jump start towards one of our many professional technical programs. Career planning, development and EdCAP Success classes are key components. Tuition and books are provided at no cost to the student.

When do I apply?

Is EdCAP easier than "regular" high school?

No! The expectations for attendance and adult behavior are high in the EdCAP program. We expect that only students who have the motivation and maturity to succeed in a college environment apply.

What is the cost?

Tuition and textbooks are provided at no charge for students. Students wanting to ride the Community Transit local buses to college can register and purchase an EdPass/ORCA card for $25.00 their first quarter and $15.00 each quarter thereafter.

What classes will I take in EdCAP?

EdCAP students are enrolled their first two quarters in specialized courses to teach them strategies for success in order to build a strong foundation of goal setting, organizational skills, time management, and critical thinking skills. In addition, students take other courses in English, math, history, etc. which apply towards their high school diploma requirements and/or help them enter a prof-tech program, if they select one.
