Examine Diversity in Visions, Voices,
and Viewpoints

Prepare to take your place in today's diverse multicultural environment with awareness, knowledge, and skills about the people and events around you. Gain communication and critical thinking skills, increase your awareness of history and culture, and develop connections to communities.

Diversity Studies courses promote social justice, equality, awareness of cultural identity and examine the history of inclusion and exclusion. Learn about and discuss issues that surround topics such as gender, race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, age, social class, disabilities, and culture. Classes fulfill cultural diversity degree requirements.

Additional opportunities to earn credit by:

  • attending college lectures and events
  • organizing diverse events such as the powwow or women's conference
  • discussing social justice topics with classmates in seminars
