Diversity at Edmonds Community College
DIVERSITY COUNCIL MISSION AND VISION Diversity Council Mission: The Diversity Council’s Mission is to assert leadership in the area of diversity by creating a culture of inclusion across Edmonds Community College and its surrounding community. The Council fulfills this purpose through a strategic plan that incorporates the college’s institutional performance goals of providing access to educational opportunities, supporting student success, creating a positive place to work and learn and the Council’s additional initiative of promoting community-wide involvement in the college’s diversity efforts.
Diversity Council Vision: As both an employer and an institution of higher learning, Edmonds Community College will be a respectful and welcoming learning environment that values diversity and inclusion. We will coordinate and support the college’s effort to eliminate discrimination, racism, and oppression through our commitment to social justice and equality. We will honor our differences based on, but not limited to, race, color, national origin, sex, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation and age.
