The Counseling and Resource Center

Counselors

The professional counselors in the Counseling Center have a minimum of a master’s degree in counseling or social work. They use general counseling techniques that apply to clients’ diverse backgrounds and unique concerns. Their solution-focused counseling assists clients with the decision-making process and with personal issues involved in the educational, career, and life-planning process.

[NOTE: For academic advising involving educational planning, selection of classes, information about majors and programs, the transfer process, and more, contact Enrollment Services at (425) 640-1458 to find out how to meet with an adviser for expert assistance.]

A Counselors’ Biography Sheet and Disclosure with counselors’ information are available at the beginning of each quarter. The part-time counseling staff can vary by quarter, but the counselors are generalists skilled at addressing personal, career, and academic concerns, as well as being skilled in specialty areas.
