Coordinated Studies: Spring 2009
Are you a high school completion student looking for an exciting and supportive learning experience? This coordinated studies class combines environmental science and history by exploring past and present development of the Pacifi c Northwest. Through required fi eld trips, discussion, guest speakers and small group problem-solving, you will understand and personalize the unique challenges that face this region. You will be able to examine current issues such as logging, endangered salmon, or water rights and decide what you think acceptable solutions might be. The course is open to High School Completion students only and counts toward a Washington State History or Contemporary World Problems credit and a science credit.
