Coordinated Studies: Fall 2008
Explore how intercultural communication can reflect and create unfairness and misunderstanding, but also can connect people in helpful and respectful ways. By telling personal stories, and by reading and listening to the stories and research of others, we will examine human differences and commonalities. You will learn to apply both intercultural communication and sociology to better understand human behavior, in many contexts, whether it’s the war in Iraq, the McDonaldization of society, or communication betwen the sexes.
