Communities: Fall 2007
This year the Foundation reached another milestone -- 25 years of making a difference in our community. In 1982, local business leaders came together to incorporate the Edmonds Community College Foundation. That first Board focused its giving efforts on some of the college’s most immediate needs, which included paving the parking lot!
Over the years, the Foundation has raised millions of dollars for diverse projects such as renovating the library, building a Center for Families, and providing scholarships for students.
Many of the people who have helped during our first 25 years will be listed on a new donor recognition wall in Mukilteo Hall, which opens this January. The commitment of our supports to our students and campus community is extraordinary. We will always be grateful for your generosity and for believing in our mission to support Edmonds Community College and its students.
Today, our Board continues to work hard to meet the needs of Edmonds Community College. Read the latest about “Imagine. Invest. Inspire.” the Foundation’s current fundraising effort. You’ll see that it’s a very exciting time for today’s Foundation Board too.
