Refunds

Basic Refund Policy for All Merchadise

  • An original sales receipt or invoice must accompany all refunds.
  • Valid Photo ID is required for the issue of all refunds as well as for the exchange of all defective merchandise.
  • All merchandise to be refunded must be in new, unused condition and must have all original packaging, tags, accessories, labels and paperwork. Some items cannot be returned once opended including software, textbook bundles, electronics, food and sundries. Items that have been damaged in any way are non-refundable.
  • Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment used for the original purchase with the exception of cash refund requests for $100 or more.
    Refunds for cash purchases of $100 or more may be issued in the form of a check (in lieu of cash) from Edmonds Community College to be mailed to the recipient within approximately 14 days following the approval of a refund.
    Refunds for check purchases will be issued in the form of a check from Edmonds Community College to be mailed to the recipient within approximately 14 days following the approval of a refund.
    Refunds for credit card and check/debit card purchases will be issued in the form of credit back to the card used for the original purchase.
  • Refund Policy exceptions are made at the College Store's sole discretion.

Textbook Refund Policy

Textbooks purchased from the College Store may be subject to a full or partial refund if the following guidelines are met:

  • An original sales receipt or invoice must accompany all refunds.
  • New books must be in new, unused condition (no highlighting, writing or markings and without damage to the covers, pages or binding).
  • Used books must be in same condition as purchased.
  • All materials purchased in special packages or bundled sets must be included and unused.
  • Software seals (for new books with software) must be unopened.
  • CWU Lynnwood Center Textbooks purchased from the College Store may be eligible for a 100% refund through the first 5 days after the quarter for which the textbooks were purchased begins.
  • Edmonds CC Textbooks purchased from the College Store may be eligible for a 100% refund through the first 5 business days after the quarter for which the textbooks were purchased begins.
  • Edmonds CC Textbooks purchased from the College Store may be eligible for a 50% refund on the 6th business day through the 10th business day after the quarter for which the textbooks were purchased begins. Proof of withdrawal is required to receive a 50% refund and textbooks must be returned within 2 days of withdrawal.

    Fall Quarter 2009 Textbook Refund Deadlines

    Last Day for 100% refund on Edmonds CC Fall Quarter 2009 textbook purchases: Friday, September 25.

    Last Day for 100% refund on CWU Lynnwood Center Fall Quarter 2009 textbook purchases: Tuesday, September 29.

Textbook Refund deadlines for each quarter are also printed on College Store sales receipts and invoices, are posted in the store, and may be found on the College Store's Hours & Events pages, under "Dates to Remeber" listings.


General Merchandise Refund Policy

  • General Merchandise purchased from the College Store may be eligible for a refund within 14 days following the date of purchase provided that all of the criteria under Basic Requirements for Refunds on All Merchandise
    are met.
  • No refunds on General Merchandise are allowed after 14 days from the date of purchase.

Clearance or Sale Merchandise

Clearance and sale merchandise is non-refundable. All sales on such items are final--no refunds or exchanges will be made.

Defective Merchandise

Defective merchandise may be replaced if returned within two weeks of purchase along with the original receipt.


Online Store Merchandise Refund Policy and Refund Instructions

  • Merchandise purchased through the College Store's Online Store are subject to the same refund policies and refund date restrictions as in-store purchases (please see all of the refund policies listed above ).  Should you have further questions regarding Online Store Merchandise Refunds, please contact the College Store via telephone at 425-640-1672 or via e-mail.
  • When returning Online Store merchandise, you must provide us with a copy of the original invoice that came with your merchandise shipment. In addition, please write your name and telephone number on the invoice (if different from the name and telephone number that appears in print on the invoice).
  • For your convenience, Online Store merchandise may be returned in-person to our store. Online Store merchandise may also be shipped to us prepaid (see mailing address below).
  • Photo ID is not required for Online Store merchandise returns that are shipped back to the College Store.
  • Provided that all of the criteria under all of the refund policies listed above are met, we will refund your purchase price to the credit card that was used for the original purchase.
  • Shipping charges are not refundable.
