Student success! Congratulations to our student and Seattle Fire Cadet, Willis Reed, on his winning essay “Brothers Around the Table” about dinners at the fire station for Yes! Magazine's spring writing competition. Applause! English instructor Holly Hughes earned our 2012 Excellence in Education award, has a new book out, The Pen and The Bell: Mindful Writing in a Busy World, and was awarded a 2012 Literary Fellowship from Artist Trust.

Our Washington Aerospace Training and Research Center (WATR) added 9,000 square feet to its facility at Paine Field in Everett and a new tooling mechanic certificate. Governor Gregoire attended the ribbon cutting ceremony in June.

The CSFA is the three-day cert test that our Digital Forensics students can take at no additional cost.
