About Us

Welcome to the Edmonds Community College Department of Chemistry! Our mission is to provide an outstanding educational experience for all students, whether they are taking chemistry in preparation for a career in science or health, or to meet graduation requirements for the AA degree.

Faculty and Staff

The Edmonds CC Chemistry Department is staffed by three full time faculty, two lab technicians, and a rotating staff of three to five adjunct faculty. Visit our staff page for more information.

Resources

Edmonds CC has one of the best equipped chemistry laboratories of any community college in the state. There are two dedicated student laboratories, one of which is equipped with individual student fume hoods to minimize exposure to volatile fumes.

Our instrumentation includes several Spectronic 20s, an FTIR, a 60 MHz NMR, HPLC, AA, Scanning UV-VIS spectrophotmeter and a GC as well as the usual assortment of undergraduate equipment. All of the equipment is maintained by our two outstanding lab technicians, Caroline Mann and Christina Hanson.
