The Biology Department at Edmonds Community College (Edmonds CC) offers several classes for students who plan to pursue a career in the health care professions. These courses help prepare students for a variety of programs in Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Physician’s Assistant programs, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and others. [Students interested in pre-medical, pre-veterinary, or pre-dental degrees should take the classes for science majors.]

All of the courses listed above require college (NOT high school) chemistry (CHEM 101 or CHEM 131, with a 2.0 or better) and most (except BIOL 201) require BIOL 201 (2.0 or better) as well.
