Jason Davis Hired as Volleyball Head Coach

Danielle Orong Steps Down as Head Coach

On Tuesday, November 27, Danielle Orong announced that she is stepping down as head coach for the EdCC women’s volleyball team. Orong was with the Tritons for three years, one as an assistant coach and two as the team’s head coach. During that time she has helped start the program’s rebuilding process, which was capped off by a fourth place finish in the NWAACC North in 2012. Tritons Top Whatcom, Advance to Everett

The Edmonds Community College volleyball teams topped Whatcom CC in five grueling sets Tuesday night in the team's regular season finale. With the win the Tritons end up with a 4-8 NWAACC North record, tied with Everett in fourth place. EdCC and Everett will play a tie-breaking match on Thursday, November 8, with the winner advancing to the NWAACC Tournament! The loser-out contest will be held at Everett with a start time of 7:00 pm.

Tritons Finish Third in Southwest Oregon Crossover

October 15 - The EdCC volleyball team posted wins against Southwest Oregon and Umpque over the weekend to finish third at the SW Oregon Crossover. Angelica Fernandez was picked for at all-tournament team. The Triton ladies have won three games over their last six played. Edmonds hosts Olympic on Wednesday, the 17th, at 7 pm.

Volleyball Hosts Crossover Tournament

September 14 – The EdCC Triton volleyball team hosted a Crossover Tournament on Friday and Saturday, September 14-15. The eight-team event will took place in Sea View Gymnasium. The eight competing squads are Chemeketa, Walla Walla, Edmonds, Centralia, Mt. Hood, Lower Columbia, Yakima and Whatcom. Winning the event was Mt. Hood, coming in second was Yakima Valley. Results

Eligibility Rules and Requirements

Athletes must be registered in a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Athletes must have passed a minimum of 12 credit hours the last quarter you were enrolled in college.
Athletes may not participate in one sport more than two seasons.
Athletes must be registered within 20 days from the beginning of the quarter.
To qualify for eligibility to participate in a second (2nd) season of any sport, you must have earned a minimum of 36 credit hours and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.00 during any quarter of participation.
Athletes must be a high school graduate or the class of which you were a member has graduated.
Any time you participate in a regularly scheduled game, match or contest, you will be charged with one year of eligibility in that sport.
Athletes may be declared ineligible if during the sport season you represent any club, organization or team other than your college team.
If you are a transfer from another community college that is a member of the NWAACC, you become eligible for athletic competition after a time lapse of three quarters, exclusive of summer school, after separation from the former college.
If convicted for the use or sale of legend drugs, including anabolic steroids, you will be disqualified from participation in a NWAACC sponsored athletic event or activity for a period of one year.
