Women's Head Coach: Jeanette Delaney
On Coaching: I’d like the players I work with to walk away from my team with a better understanding of themselves as women. I hope to encourage an introspective athlete, one that is comfortable in her own skin simply because she is familiar with why and how she performs best. Ultimately, she takes this self-knowledge and applies it to situations on and off the pitch.
Love of the game: Taking time off from playing soccer while I was pregnant was difficult for me. I can remember standing on the sideline at a match and physically aching--I wanted to play so badly.
Off the field: My husband and I, both NW transplants, live in Seattle with our infant son. We’ve been happy here so long we couldn’t imagine calling anywhere else home.
Degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Communication Disorders, Fresno State University 1998; Master’s, Special Education-Deaf Education, Lewis and Clark in Portland, Ore. 1999.

Women's Assistant Coach: Kim Plumis
On Coaching:
My coaching philosophy is centered around helping athletes be the best they can be on the field and off. Building an environment where communication is open and athletes feel comfortable with each other and with the coaches is primary so that students may reach their potential in the classroom as well as on the field. I expect for my team to work hard for one another, be committed and above all to have fun. There are so many learning opportunities at this point in an athletes life, I strive to be a person they see as helping hand along their journey in soccer and in life.
Love of the game: I still play 1-2 times per week and am an avid Sounders FC fan. I love watching the English Premier League and it seems like I am around soccer all the time. I am enjoying getting to know the game all over again through the eyes of my daughter who is already loving the game as much as her mom. I will always be a student of the game!
Off the field: Off the field I am Mom to Melia (4) and Alex (2). My husband, kids and I live in Edmonds. When I am not on the soccer field I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
Degrees: I graduated High School from Edmonds-Woodway, where I played 4 years of varsity soccer. I received my AA degree from Shoreline CC where I also played for the soccer and fastpitch teams. After that I transferred to Western Washington University and played 2 years for the varsity team up there. I graduated with a BA in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Psychology. I started coaching during college, my most recent position was the head coach of the girls program at Lynnwood High School which I maintained from 2000-2007.
