Edmonds Drops 121 on Shoreline
On Saturday, January 19, the No. 1-ranked Edmonds CC men’s basketball team scored 121 points in a NWAACC North tilt at Shoreline CC. That point total is in the top-five for a NWAACC team this season and the highest output from the Tritons in recent memory.
With the 121-93 win, North-leading EdCC improved to 15-2 overall, 5-0 in the NWAACC. Three Tritons scored at more than 20 points: Ricardo Maxwell (28), Shaquielle McKissic (27) and Tony Montano (24). Each player shot over 65 percent with Maxwell nailing all five 3-pointers attempted. McKissic grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds with Maxwell, McKissic and Jesse Nicholes each dishing out four assists.
As a team, Edmonds shot 62 percent (48-78) from the field and sank 9-12 (75%) from long-range. The Tritons are at home for their next three contests starting with Olympic at 7 pm Wednesday.
